PURPOSE: An ink composition for a marker pen is provided to be easily separated from a writing plane by having good rolling performance, and to have extremely improved color definition and concealment. CONSTITUTION: An ink composition for a marker pen comprises 30-36 weight% of a mill base, 40-50 weight% of a solvent, 10-15 weight% of a plasticizer, 2-5 weight% of a releasing agent, 2-5 weight% of a drying retardant, and 5-8 weight% of a surfactant. The mill base consists of 3-8 weight% of a color pigment, 0.3-1.5 weight% of a dispersant, 11.4-16.0 weight% of a resin, and 80-85 weight% of an alcohol-based solvent. A manufacturing method of the ink composition comprises: a step of dispersing the color pigment, dispersant and butyral resin into an alcoholic solvent; a step of manufacturing the mill base by milling the dispersant; and a step of mixing the mill base, the solvent, the plasticizer, the releasing agent, the drying retardant, and the surfactant.
