CULTURE METHOD FOR STEINERNEMA CARPOCAPSAE

PURPOSE: A method for culturing Steinernema carpocapsae is provided to complementarily culture the nematode and to enable IPM(integrated pest management). CONSTITUTION: A method for culturing Steinernema carpocapsae comprises: a step of inoculating Xenorhabdus nematophilus into a solid medium for culturing insect pathogenic nematode and culturing for 1-7 days; a step of inoculating Steinernema carpocapsae to the solid medium; and a step of adding 1-2 ml of Xenorhabdus nematophilus every 24 hours by 48 hours after inoculation. The culture medium contains whey powder, dry yeast, sodium chloride, egg powder, potassium monohydrogen phosphate(K_2HPO_4), cholesterol, and canola oil.
