PURPOSE: A water treatment apparatus and a method for the same are provided to prevent the occurrence of eutrophication due to sewage and wastewater by reducing the content of total phosphorus in the sewage and the wastewater. CONSTITUTION: A water treatment apparatus includes a floatation treating bath(101), a gas compressor(103), a circulating pump(102), a gas dissolving contact unit(104), and a flotation bath introducing baffle(118). The floatation treating bath includes a mixing bath, a coagulating bath, and a gas floating bath. The gas floating bath floats or oxidizes coagulants. The circulating pump circulates a part of treated water from the flotation treating bath to the gas floatation bath. The gas compressor generates microbubbles. The gas dissolving contact unit dissolves the compressed gas from the gas compressor into the circulating water from the circulating pump. The gas dissolving contact unit supplies the dissolved compressed gas to a microbubble sprayer. |
