PURPOSE: A version management system of a distributed control system and a version management method are provided to control a system version of a board having problems proper to a system version of a current distributed control system so that the distributed control system is efficiently managed. CONSTITUTION: A version management system of a distributed control system is as follows. Types and versions of plural slave controllers are transmitted to a master controller. Whether or not the types and versions of each slave controller accord with versions for each type of the slave controller according to system version information is judged(S140). A system enable state is marked if the types and versions of the each slave controller accord with the versions for the each type of the slave controller.
