PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to produce light distribution characteristics nearing to a point light source. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(11) comprises a conductive part. A light emitting element comprises a semiconductor layer and a light-transmission substrate having a pair of main surfaces. An electrode of the light emitting element is arranged through a bonding member formed on the substrate. A fluorescent material layer(17) covers a peripheral surface domain of the conductive part which is exposed to the light emitting element. A reflecting layer(18) covers a part of the fluorescent material layer. The reflecting layer is arranged lower than the upper side of the light emitting element. |
