PURPOSE: An aluminum matrix composite material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to stably manufacture an aluminum matrix composite material at low temperatures by using boron compound and maintaining the temperature of molten aluminum at 950°C or lower. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an aluminum matrix composite material comprises the steps of: preparing a precursor by mixing aluminum powder, boron compound powder, titanium oxide powder, and powder of activating materials, adding the precursor into molten aluminum, and casting the molten aluminum.
