PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing luteolin or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is provided to enhance SIRT1 expression and to reduce p53 phosphorylation. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing cell aging contains luteolin of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The cell aging is caused by ROS(reactive oxygen species), hydrogen peroxide. A method for preventing cell aging of mammals except for human comprises a step of administering the pharmaceutical composition to the mammal. The composition is manufactured in the form of powder, granules, injection, syrup, solution, and tablets.
