PURPOSE: A wireless communication system and a method for transmitting contents thereof are provided to enhance service satisfaction of a user by rapidly transferring data to a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A content server(302) owns data content on a data network. A content replica server(304) separately includes a replica of the content of the content server. The content replica server is located near a PGW(Packet Data Network Gateway)(108). The content replica server a local cache server(310) near an eNB(102) managing a terminal according to location information of the terminal. The content replica server examines the transmitted DNS packet between the PGW and a DNS(Domain Name System) server(306). The DNS server transmits an IP address of the content server or the content replica server including corresponding content.
