PURPOSE: A desulfurizer for a fuel cell reformer and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the volume of the reformer by effectively implementing a desulfurizing process with the small volume of activated carbon. CONSTITUTION: A desulfurizer for a fuel cell is composed of a three dimensional activated carbon support(100), an aluminosilicate layer(120), and a metal layer. Fine pores are arranged on the surface and inside of the activated carbon support to enlarge the specific surface area of the activated carbon support. The aluminosilicate layer is uniformly penetrated into the surface of and inside of the activated carbon support to form a surface layer. The aluminosilicate layer increases the active site of sulfur components in the process of reforming a fuel cell. The metal layer is separately formed on the surface of the activated carbon support or is mixed with the aluminosilicate layer. The metal layer is made of one or more of copper, nickel, and iron. |
