<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus allowing, even when a recording medium is jammed within a transport path prepared for duplex printing, work of removing the recording medium to be performed easily. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a branch position 21, an intermediate section 22 and a merge position 23, and these forms the transport path used in duplex printing. A feed tray 3 and the intermediate section 22 are incorporated in a detachable unit 25 detachably attached to an image forming apparatus 1 body. Therefore, when opening a front panel 1A at the front of the image forming apparatus 1 and pulling out the detachable unit 25, both the feed tray 3 and the intermediate section 22 can be taken outside the apparatus. Accordingly, when jam occurs in the intermediate section 22, work of detaching the detachable unit 25 and removing the jammed recording medium can be performed easily at the outside of the image forming apparatus 1 body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
