The invention provides a method for producing ferritin composed of a first subunit and/or a second subunit, each having a different amino acid sequence. The method comprises a step of introducing a first plasmid, which contains a first gene encoding the first subunit, a promoter, a Shine-Dalgarno sequence, a replication origin, and a lactose repressor gene, and in which the Shine-Dalgarno sequence is positioned between the promoter and the first gene, alone or together with a second plasmid, which contains a second gene encoding the second subunit, a promoter, a Shine-Dalgarno sequence, and a replication origin, and in which the Shine-Dalgarno sequence is positioned between the promoter and the second gene, into E. coli, and a step of culturing the E. coli to produce ferritin. |
