The invention relates to a picture frame (1) having a plurality of frame strips (2) that are fastened to each other by means of connecting pieces (3) engaging therein. The frame strips (2) have a substantially L-shaped cross-section comprising a first limb (4) and a second limb (5), wherein at a first fastening region (9) of the two limbs (4 and 5) a first fastening means (19) is provided for fastening to a second fastening means (20) mounted on a picture (21, 22). The first fastening region (9) is disposed on the inner face of the limbs (4, 5) wherein the inner face (6) is that face which adjoins a space partially enclosed by the two limbs (4, 5). |
