<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a method, and an apparatus which maximize high-speed broadband communication by using MIMO technique in a single antenna communication device. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus comprises a wireless communication interface (WCI) device configured to exchange wireless signals with a base station via a MIMO air interface and to exchange sets of corresponding wireless signals with an access terminal via a wideband air interface having a larger bandwidth than the bandwidth of the MIMO air interface.
