The present invention relates to the use of a group of sulphamide derivatives with neuroprotective capacity that are of use in the treatment and/or prevention of diseases associated with cell death, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease (sporadic forms and hereditary forms), cerebral ischaemia, lateral amyotrophic sclerosis, post encephalitic parkinsonism, and also other rare diseases involving neurodegeneration, such as Huntington's disease and spino-cerebellar ataxias.
