The apparatus has an inlet (1) supplying to-be-filtered slurry (20) into a container, where the slurry flows through filter elements (7). A circulation device circulates the slurry. An end side of the circulating device is arranged in a flow channel (10) i.e. cylindrical pipe, of a container. The circulation device is formed by an impeller (3) that is attached to the flow channel. Two ends of each filter element are connected to sides of the circulation device through connectors. A filtrate outlet (27) of the circulating device is connected with another filtrate outlet (17). The connector is designed as a cylindrical body. The impeller is designed as an open impeller. The filter elements are designed as longitudinally traversed filter modules (6) in form of single- or multi-channel tube modules, winding modules, hollow fiber modules, tubular modules or capillary modules. The filter modules are made of ceramic, metal, glass or plastic.
