Provided is an exhaust gas purification method and device capable of continually and stably treating exhaust gas. An exhaust gas purification method for subjecting combustion exhaust gas in which NOx and SOx are present to a treatment for adsorbing and removing SOx using a SOx adsorption agent, then adding a denitration reducing agent to the treated gas, and performing a denitration treatment using a denitration catalyst, wherein: a plurality of SOx adsorption towers (7, 8) are installed for adsorbing/removing SOx using the SOx adsorption agent; and adsorption of SOx and regeneration of the SOx adsorption agent are performed in an alternating manner by using the interval in which the SOx adsorption treatment is being performed using the one means to also perform regeneration of the SOx adsorption agent using another means.
