<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel for irradiating a panel to be treated with light, and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel includes a treatment tank, a light irradiating unit and a liquid removing unit. The treatment tank reserves liquid inside and houses a panel to be treated having a liquid crystal layer containing a photopolymerizable material and a liquid crystal composition in the liquid. The light irradiating unit irradiates the panel to be treated, housed inside the treatment tank, with light that induces polymerization of the photopolymerizable material.
