<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption pad for an examination kit according to immunochromatography, in which an absorption speed of a sample liquid is improved, the sample liquid added to the examination kit can be absorbed without delay, sample liquid retention power is improved and even after the lapse of a specific reaction time, the sample liquid can be prevented from flowing back to a chromatograph medium. <P>SOLUTION: An absorption pad includes an absorptive core containing high-absorptivity polymer particles in hydrophilic fibers.
