A high-lift device (3) for an aircraft comprises: a flap main body (11) provided at the trailing edge portion of the main wing (2) of the aircraft so as to be able to be expanded and housed and extending along the wing span direction of the main wing (2); and a vortex suppression portion (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) provided at an end portion in the wing span direction of the flap main body (11) and used for suppressing vortex rolling up from the lower surface of the end portion (11a) of the flap main body (11) to the upper surface of the end portion (11a).
