The invention relates to an alarm triggering device for a security system, said alarm triggering device comprising an interface arranged so as to connect the alarm triggering device to a device for managing the security system by means of a wireless connection; triggering means for triggering an alarm in the case of a pre-determined event; supply means for enabling the power supply of the alarm triggering system from a supply source; communication control means for detecting the absence of communication with the management device over a pre-determined period of time; and signaling means for automatically signaling said absence of communication to the alarm triggering device.
