AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

Authenticating method comprising: establishing (2-2) trust between an authentication provider (AP) and service provider (SP); establishing (2-4) trust between the authentication provider (AP) and authentication application (AA) installed in a terminal (UT). The authentication provider performs, for each session: receiving (2-12) an access code request and connection information from the terminal (UT); generating (2-14) and storing the access code; sending (2-16) it to the terminal (UT);receiving (2-24) the access code from the authentication application (AA); indicating (2-26) verification of the access code to the authentication application (AA) and terminal (UT); receiving (2-36), from the authentication application (AA), a request to grant access to the terminal (UT); instructing (2-38) the service provider (SP) to grant access; sending (2- 40) a confirmation of the granted access to the terminal (UT). An authenticated session between the terminal (UT) and the service provider (SP) is setup for providing services to the terminal (UT).
