MODIFIED ASPHALT CONCRETE USING DI METHYL PHENOL

PURPOSE: A modified asphalt mixture using DMP modified asphalt is provided to extend the lifetime of road pavement and improve the commonality of paving. CONSTITUTION: A modified asphalt mixture using DMP modified asphalt comprises DMP modified asphalt, waste asphalt concrete circulation aggregate, general aggregate and filler. The DMP modified asphalt includes asphalt and 10-30 parts by weight of Rhesol response resin based on the total weight of asphalt. The Rhesol response resin includes 1 mole part by weight of 2,6-DMP(2,6-Di methyl phenol), 1.5-3 mole parts by weight of formaldehyde, 1-10 parts of amine based on the 2,6-DMP. The total weight of the DMP modified asphalt and asphalt included in the waste asphalt concrete occupies 5-6 parts by weight of the total weight of the modified asphalt mixture. In the total weight of the asphalt, the DMP modified asphalt occupies 50-95 parts by weight.
