<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replication method of a database which, when switching a communication path transmitting an update log to another communication path, prevents transmission order and reception order from being reversed and ensures update ordering. <P>SOLUTION: When switching a communication path PH1 to a communication path PH2 for transmitting an update log of a master database MD to a replication database RD, a front system FS transmits synchronization data D to the communication paths PH1 and PH2 before and after switching.
