A double-row roller bearing comprises conical rollers 14, of which only one row is shown, separated by supporting members 28 integral with a holder ring 30 running on a surface 32 on the inner race, the supporting members 28 being broader towards the centre of the bearing, when viewed axially, than at its outside edges. The shape of the supporting members 28 thus prevents the holder ring being withdrawn while the bearing is in operation. Spaces 34 in the holder-ring allow the bearing to be lubricated. The supporting members 28 are inserted between the rollers 14 by elastic deformation of the ring 30 to the shape shown in dotted lines, for which purpose a tool is described (Fig. 7, not shown). The holder ring and supporting members may be made from bronze alloy. Alternatively the holder ring 30 and supporting members 28 may be made separately from e.g. steel plate (or sheet iron) and bearing bronze, the outer ends of the supporting members being formed as pins received in openings in the holder ring, in the outer face of which the pins are riveted over. The invention may also be applied to double-row roller bearings having the larger ends of the rollers turned outwardly, instead of inwardly as shown, and to double-row roller bearings having a spherical roller track on the outer race.
