PURPOSE: A fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to efficiently suppress disclination line generation. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode and a second electrode are installed on a first substrate(100). The second electrode faces the first electrode. A plurality of slits are formed in the second electrode. A second substrate(200) faces the first substrate. A liquid crystal layer(300) is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.
