<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently demolishing and disposing of facilities for rendering PCB-contaminated equipment harmless. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for demolishing the facilities for rendering the PCB-contaminated equipment harmless, the facilities for rendering the PCB-contaminated equipment harmless include a washing section 10 for washing the equipment, including PCB-containing insulating oil, with wash oil, and a distillation and regeneration section 20 for preparing regenerated wash oil by distilling PCB-containing wash oil produced by washing the equipment; and the distillation and regeneration section comprises distillation columns 21 and 22 for separating the PCB-containing wash oil into a distillatory solution lower in PCB concentration than the PCB-containing wash oil and a bottom product higher in the PCB concentration than the PCB-containing wash oil. A device constituting the washing section is washed with the wash oil; low-concentration PCB-containing wash oil lower in the PCB concentration than the PCB-containing wash oil introduced into the distillation columns before the washing of the device is prepared; and a distillation-column decontamination step of making a PCB adhesion amount inside the distillation columns smaller than before the washing of the device by separating the low-concentration PCB-containing wash oil by the distillation columns is performed before the dismantlement of the distillation columns. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
