<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reinforced plastic spring capable of reducing a load change in breaking, by preventing scattering of a broken piece in breaking, without using a separate member. <P>SOLUTION: This FRP spring 1 includes a multilayer structure 20 having a single unit 20A constituted of a plus directional orientation layer 21 and a minus directional orientation layer 22. The orientation directions S1 and S2 of the adjacent plus directional orientation layer 21 and minus directional orientation layer 22 cross with each other. Fibers of the plus directional orientation layer 21 and the minus directional orientation layer 22 can be entangled in breaking by properly setting an absolute value of orientation angles θ1 and θ2 of the respective layers 21 and 22, and a breaking phase of the whole spring becomes pseudo-ductility. An elastic modulus and strength usable as a spring can be provided, and breaking in resin between the fibers can be prevented in the respective layers 21 and 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
