<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for forming a water-repellent layer containing carbon particles and a resin on a surface of a gas diffusion layer substrate in a relatively short time while suppressing trouble occurrence in manufacturing a gas diffusion layer on which the water-repellent layer is formed. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a gas diffusion layer used in a fuel cell includes: a preparation step of preparing a gas diffusion layer substrate; a coating step of coating one surface of the gas diffusion layer substrate with a paste containing water-repellent resin particles or conductive particles; and a heating step of heating the gas diffusion layer substrate coated with the paste at a temperature higher than or equal to a melting point of the water-repellent resin with a coating surface coated with the paste facing downward in a gravity direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
