摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device allowing highly efficient light extraction out of a light-emitting element, and suppress manufacturing cost of the illumination device. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination device includes: a first resin layer having a first refractive index on a light-emitting element layer; a second resin layer having a second refractive index, which is lower than the first refractive index and higher than the refractive index of the air; plural grains having the second refractive index and provided at an interface between the first resin layer and the second resin layer, or plural convex bodies having the second refractive index, having a vertex provided inside the first resin layer, and having a flat plane in contact with the interface between the first resin layer and the second resin layer; and a resin substrate having the second refractive index and having a concave and convex structure at an interface with the air. The difference in height between the top and the bottom of the concavity and convexity of the concave and convex structure is larger than the distance from the vertex of the grain to the interface between the first resin layer and the second resin layer or than the distance from the flat plane of each of the plural convex bodies to the vertex. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
