<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to form a light distribution pattern, as an intermediate light distribution pattern, capable of enhancing front visibility of a vehicle driver without giving glare to a driver of a car in front or an oncoming car, or further to a pedestrian or the like, in an illumination lamp for a vehicle equipped with a lamp unit structured so as to selectively form a high-beam light distribution pattern and a low-beam light distribution pattern. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a pair of lamp units is to be provided with a first shade 28 for switching between high and low beams, and a second shade 38 having a side end edge 38b and an upper end edge 38a for forming upper and lower cutoff lines CL4A, CL4B and horizontal cutoff lines CL3A, CL3B extended from a lower end position of the upper and lower cutoff lines CL4A, CL4B in a horizontal direction. By appropriately moving the first and the second shades 28, 38, an intermediate light distribution pattern having horizontal cutoff lines CL5A, CL5B at an upper end part is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
