<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable long time operation by decreasing burden on a foot and achieve simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A pointing device includes: a pedal portion 1a on which a foot of an operator is placed; a rubber dome portion 5 which supports the pedal portion inclinable and has a circumferential projection 5c for conducting a load from the pedal portion downward; a first print circuit board 3 which has a plurality of fixed contact patterns 35 arranged circumferentially; a second print circuit board 4 which is opposed to the plurality of fixed contact patterns 35 of the first print circuit board 3 and has a movable contact pattern 45 provided below the circumferential projection 5c; a membrane switch which is constituted by including the fixed contact patterns 35 of the first print circuit board 3 and the movable contact pattern 45 of the second print circuit board 4; and a control unit which sends cursor movement direction information to a host device by detecting closing of the membrane switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
