<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel, capable of irradiating a panel with light under uniform conditions, and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal panel includes a treatment tank, a window, a liquid flow unit, and a light irradiating unit. The treatment tank reserves liquid inside and houses a panel to be treated having a liquid crystal layer containing a photopolymerizable material and a liquid crystal composition in the liquid. The window is attached to the treatment tank and in contact with the liquid, and transmits light. The liquid flow unit allows the liquid between the panel to be treated and the window to flow along a main surface of the panel to be treated. The light irradiating unit irradiates the panel to be treated, housed inside the treatment tank, through the window with light that induces polymerization of the photopolymerizable material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
