<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a changeover method of a layer 3 switch, capable of preventing packet loss. <P>SOLUTION: In the changeover method of the layer 3 switch of a network in which a first VRRP group G1, a second VRRP group G2, a first master router R1a, a second master router R2a and a second slave router R2b are connected respectively and a first slave router R1b, the second master router R2a and the second slave router R2b are connected respectively, when the first slave router R1b determines that a VRRP advertisement does not arrive from the first master router R1a within fixed time, the first slave router R1b is moved up to a master router, a gratuitousARP for which an IP address of the first master router R1a and a MAC address of the first slave router R1b are made to correspond is transmitted to the second master router R2a, and the second master router R2a changes an ARP table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
