<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to select a route that suits user's taste among a plurality of route candidates extracted based on extraction conditions of an exercise load and an elevation value. <P>SOLUTION: A portable navigation device 1 stores map data including elevation values of respective spots on a road map in node data, in a storage unit 11. A control unit 10 in the portable navigation device 1 searches for a plurality of routes from a departure place to a destination based on the map data stored in the storage unit 11, and extracts route candidates among the plurality of routes based on an exercise load and an elevation value. The control unit 10 displays the extracted route candidates on a display monitor 12 to require a user to select a route for route guidance among the route candidates, and controls the portable navigation device 1 to start route guidance based on the selected route. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
