<p>The present art relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program which enable necessary and sufficient movement history data to be accumulated with small power consumption. A similarity retrieval unit retrieves, from retrieval data stored in a past history DB, a past route that is similar to the most recent movement history configured from time-series positional data and acquired by a position sensor unit. A matching determination unit determines whether the degree of matching between the past route retrieved by the similarity retrieval unit and the most recent movement history is a predetermined threshold value or more. According to the result of the determination by the matching determination unit, a sensor control unit controls the intervals at which the position sensor unit acquires the positional data. This disclosed art is applicable, for example, to a prediction device which acquires positional data and predicts a predicted route.</p> |
