ACTIVE OPTICAL ANTENNA, MICROWAVE EMISSION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SENDING INFORMATION

Disclosed are an active optical antenna, a microwave emission system and a method for sending information. The active optical antenna comprises: a substrate; a ground plane disposed at a bottom portion of the substrate; a power supply grid and several antenna units disposed at a top portion of the substrate; photodetector tubes disposed inside the substrate and located between the antenna units and the ground plane, the power supply grid supplying power for the photodetector tubes, the number of the photodetector tubes being the same as the number of the antenna units, and an output end of the photodetector tube being coupled to the antenna unit, so as to output a radio frequency signal; and an optical waveguide disposed inside the substrate and connected to the photodetector tubes. By use of the embodiments of the present invention, the cost of the antenna is reduced, and the level of integration is improved. Moreover, the signal to be emitted, which is received by the antenna, is an optical signal. Therefore, complex beam splitting can be accomplished by utilizing the plane waveguide technology, so that the optical power allocation is completed in the optical domain, avoiding matching and attenuation of an electric signal allocation network.
