WATER FOR BOILING RICE AND THE MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Water for boiling rice using mucilage from the stem of cactus, and a producing method thereof are provided to coat the rice with functional components before cooking. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of water for boiling rice using mucilage from the stem of cactus comprises the following steps: mixing 5-95wt% of Opuntia humifusa stem and 95-5wt% of purified water to obtain a mixture; boiling the mixture for 1-2 hours at 55-70 deg C: extracting the mucilage from the heated mixture for 1-2 hours at 65-75 deg C; and filtering the obtained mucilage extract.
