<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a battery from being frozen even when a temperature sensor of a device is failed which is heated by a battery-driven heater so that the battery in non-use is not frozen. <P>SOLUTION: A battery temperature Tb, and a time Δt1 to Δt8 when Tb falls from an outside air temperature Ta to a warming start temperature Tb_start are set as a next controller start-up time Δt. It is checked with t2, t3 and t4 for every Δt whether Tb<Tb_start is satisfied or not using the start-up of a controller, and a heater performs battery driving at the t4 which satisfies Tb<Tb_start to warm the battery. After the failed time t0 of an outside air temperature sensor, the outside air temperature Ta is set to a fixed value Ta_const, the control is repeated based on the Ta=Ta_const and the battery temperature Tb. Accordingly, Δt is prevented from being extremely prolonged like ∞ in temperature information Ta from the outside air temperature sensor in failure and the heater is forced to be operated due to the inability of start-up of the controller, so that the battery can be avoided from being frozen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
