<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable storage device which can set the propriety of access for each external device. <P>SOLUTION: A portable storage device 100 includes: a data storage unit 101 which stores, in a state of being fitted to an external device, data so as to be readable by the external device; an external device identification information acquisition unit 103 which acquires, in the case of being fitted to an external device, external device identification information for identifying the external device; a communication unit 104 which transmits an authentication request including the external device identification information and pre-stored storage device identification information to an authentication device and receives authentication result information showing results of authentication processing from the authentication device; and an access control unit 105 which, if the authentication result information showing the permission of access to the data storage unit 101 is received, permits access to the data storage unit 101 and if the authentication result information is not received, prohibits access to the data storage unit 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
