<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermochromic composition in which a novel color change temperature regulator is contained and which is provided with a broad hysteresis width, and to provide microcapsules thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The thermochromic composition comprises a leuco dye, a color developer and a color change temperature regulator, wherein the color change temperature regulator is at least one of compounds (a) to (e): 4-(hydroxymethyl)biphenyl decanoic acid ester (a); benzoic acid phenyl-n-decyl ether (b); 4-hydroxybenzophenone laurylether (c); 4-chloro-4'-hydroxybenzophenone laurate ester (d); and 4-hydroxymethyl biphenyl decyl ether (e). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
