<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match signal read control when detecting a focus and signal read control when capturing images. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device including pixels including a first photoelectric conversion part and a second photoelectric conversion part and a control part for controlling the respective pixels so as to generate addition signals by adding signals outputted by the first photoelectric conversion part and signals outputted by the second photoelectric conversion part; read means for performing first read processing of alternately reading the signals outputted by one of the first photoelectric conversion part and the second photoelectric conversion part for one pixel corresponding to the array order of the pixels and second read processing of reading the addition signals from the imaging device; focus detection means for detecting a focus adjustment state of an imaging optical system on the basis of the signals read in the first read processing; and image generation means for generating images on the basis of the addition signals read in the second read processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
