<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which an effective way of reducing power consumption of a mutual stand-by cluster system while it is functioning normally is not available. <P>SOLUTION: When a failure occurs on any of multiple information processing devices connected via a network in a mutual stand-by cluster system, the system performs control for its other information processing devices to take over a processing task that was being executed by the malfunctioning device. Each of the multiple information processing devices includes upper limit value recording means 114 for recording the upper limit value for the device's power consumption, power consumption control means 115 for performing control to maintain the device's power consumption below the upper limit value recorded in the upper limit value recording means 114 and upper limit value setting means 116 for recording an upper limit value for the device's power consumption that is smaller than its maximum power consumption value in the upper limit value recording means 114 when the device does not need to take over a processing task from an information processing device in the system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
