<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bending a flat cable in which a conductor of the flat cable can be prevented from being damaged when a fold is formed at the flat cable in advance. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention is a method for bending the flat cable having flexibility. In a first step, a cable a is placed on a placing surface 3 of a jig 1 having an insertion groove 4 and at that time, the cable a and the insertion groove 4 are positioned so that the length direction of the cable a and the width direction of the insertion groove 4 cross each other. In a second step, the cable a is pushed into the insertion groove 4 by a push-in member 2, and the fold is given to the cable a. When the minimum bending radius of a conductor of the cable a is Rmin, the thickness from the center of the conductor of the cable a to the surface of an insulator is T1, and the thickness of the push-in member 2 is t, the interval L of the insertion groove 4 is made to satisfy the relationship of L>(2×Rmin)+(2×T1)+t. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
