<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow background pattern data to be added to an original image without using dedicated hardware even in a memory saving environment, thereby minimizing printing performance deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an input data receiving section 301 for receiving printing data; a DL creation section 302 for creating intermediate data by analyzing the printing data; a plot processing section 304 for plotting a printing image on the basis of the intermediate data; and a background pattern processing section 305. The background pattern processing section 305 creates a background pattern on the basis of background pattern printing setting information in the intermediate data, and also stores individual intermediate creations and creation information created in the middle of the creation of the background pattern, and then reuses the stored intermediate creations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
