<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal which is unlikely to be heated to high temperatures even through heat is generated therein due to contact resistance and prevents the instantaneous interruption, and to provide a connector which uses the terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal 30 has a movable contact part 36 protruding from a contact hole 14 of a housing 10 so as to protrude or retract. In particular, at least one cooling through hole 38 is provided behind a contact surface 36a of the movable contact part 36. An exposed area in the movable contact part 36 increases and thus cooling efficiency is improved.
