<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use superheated steam for such effects as the shortening of rice cooking time and an increase in rice cooking performance. <P>SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: a rice cooker body 1; a pot 2 removably housed in the body; a lid 3 for freely opening and closing the access to the body; a heater 4 for heating the pot; a superheated steam supplier 9 for supplying superheated steam to the pot; a pot temperature detector 5 for detecting the temperature of the pot; a lid temperature detector 13 for detecting the boiling of the pot contents; and a controller 10 for controlling the heater 4 by using the outputs of the pot temperature detector 5 and the lid temperature detector 13 as inputs. The superheated steam of 200°C produced in the superheated steam supplier 9 is injected during a steaming step, thus shortening a rice cooking time without deteriorating the rice cooking performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
