摘要 The present invention relates to a wave-absorbing metamaterial, which comprises a substrate having two opposite lateral surfaces. Of the two opposite lateral surfaces, at least one lateral surface has attached thereto multiple periodically arranged artificial metal microstructures. When an electromagnetic wave having an incidence direction perpendicular to the two opposite lateral surfaces of the substrate passes through the metamaterial, the relative dielectric constant of the metamaterial is approximately equal to the relative magnetic permeability thereof. The present invention employs a wave-absorbing principle different from that of conventional wave-absorbing materials, the multiple artificial metal microstructures are periodically arranged on the substrate, and the artificial metal microstructures are adjusted to achieve an ideal wave-absorbing effect. This provides the advantages of lightweight, thinness, and easiness of electromagnetic parameter adjustment.
