The application relates to a piercing aid having at least one lancet (10) for obtaining bodily fluids, wherein the piercing aid comprises a drive unit (2) displacing the lancet from a rest position into a piercing position in the piercing direction (15, 15a) for performing a piercing process, and a retracting unit (9, 22) displacing the lancet from the piercing position into the rest position thereof after performing the piercing process.
