Provided are a charge control device and a charge control system using the same, whereby a user is readily able to ascertain information on electricity pricing for different time zones. This charge control system comprises a charge control device (10) as well as a smart meter (20) for acquiring, and transmitting to a server device (84) of a power supply company, the power usage amount received from a commercial power source and used in a home. A slave unit (22) of the smart meter (20) acquires information on electricity pricing for different time zones from the server device (84), and outputs the information to the charge control device (10). The charge control device (10) comprises: a contact part (12) for opening and closing a power supply path from a power source to a charge device of an electric vehicle (70); a communication unit for receiving information on electricity pricing for different time zones from the smart meter (20); a notification unit (16) for operating to provide notifications to a user; and a control unit (11) for causing the notification unit (16) to provide notifications of the electricity pricing for different time zones as acquired by the communication unit 14.
