Provided are a double-ended needle and a mixing instrument that are capable of suppressing the reverse flow of a solution. A double-ended needle (20a) for configuring part of a mixing instrument (10) has a first puncturing part (70a) and a second puncturing part (72a) that contain bores therein that are connected to one another. The bore (76) of the first puncturing part (70a) and the bore (77) of the second puncturing part (72a) are connected to one another, and the cross-sectional area of the bore (76) of the first puncturing part (70a) is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the bore (77) of the second puncturing part (72a).
